~ ♥ The Blessing Of A Friend ♥ ~

Oh Cherry Layne . . .
What a blessing you are to me!

This week I recieved the most awesome surprise!
My dear, sweet friend Cherry Layne sent me a little package of love! and . . . just when I needed it most!
I have been rushing around like a crazy person hardly taking time to breathe. Then this wonderful package came! The most beautiful magazine and some of the yummiest tea ever! (Trader Joe's Duchess Grey Tea) Did I take a break . . . YES! I brewed myself the most aromatic cup of delishes tea and sat myself down and read this magazine cover to cover. I just couldn't put it down. I felt just like I had a little mini vacation! THANK YOU soooo much sweet lady!

Now the card that came with this package had this verse in it! How amazing . . . it is my favorite verse! I have it framed next to my computer so I can look at it every day! Did Cherry Layne know this . . . no! Do I think this was coincidence . . . no! I think it was a divine treat right from the heart of God!

Let me share with you ladies . . . if you have not had the pleasure of enjoying this magazine it is definately worth the purchase. It is beautiful! Full of fun things, gorgeous pictures and recipes. It will definately bring out the "Farmgirl" in you!

The address to order this magazine is:
PO Box 422190
Palm Coast, FL 32142-9438

or you can order online

The beautiful card above is straight from the heart of Cherry Layne!

I met my dear friend Cherry Layne on a site called Polyvore where we create pretty artistic things. She has been such a joy to me. Though we haven't met face to face here on earth  I know if we ever do we will become fast friends. We share so much in common. I do know I would like a little cottage right next to her in Heaven so we can share some daily tea!

Tea Time & Roses

Come and share a spot of tea . . .
My home is warm, my friendship free.

I l♥ve tea! I l♥ve tea cups!
and . . . these are my favorites!
 {Pic is my beautiful Mother & Father on their wedding day}

My Mom gave me these beautiful Moss Rose tea cups and lunch plates for my 40th birthday. She knew how much I loved them. They are even more special to me because they are from her!

The orchid here and in the pic above was a gift from my cousin Anna to my Father a year ago. My Father is 98 and said to me, "You better take this home, I won't be able to keep it alive!" Now I have desperately tried to grow orchids before but to no avail. I can't keep them alive either! Well, miracle here, it is alive and blooming! I can hardly believe it! I've been afraid to look at it. Apparently it loves
the lack of attention!

Wishing you could all come for tea!

Remember to count your blessings ~

~ ♥ A Walk Through My Town ♥ ~

Won't you come on a little stroll with me through my town? This is just a small view of some of the things that make me smile! I live in the beautiful and quaint little "Dutch" town  of Lynden, Washington. Some call it "Little Holland!" I call it "home!"

This is Front Street. The main entrance to town. My Granfather planted these trees many, many years ago. They are called "Pin Oaks!" I think this is what Pinochio must have been made from!

Our landmark! The windmill at the Dutch Villiage.

And . . . now some of my favorite cottages!

Trish . . . the owner of this cute cottage has her own blog. Why don't you stop in and take a look around!

Tami . . . the owner of this wonderful home has her own blog. Why don't you go and take a peek!

And one of my favorite old barns! We are a community of dairy farms and berry fields!

The cherry blossom entrance to one of my favorite old homes.

This is the Stremler Home. Stately and Gorgeous! I grew up just across the street from this beauty!

and . . . back down the pretty lane of trees as we end this stroll through "my town!"

Hope you enjoyed your visit! I know I enjoyed sharing!
